Hello,
Is anybody out there using Apogee's Rosetta. If so, in what set-up?
I only need two channels in and out and would prefer firewire connection to a computer. I want to get the best possible audio quality I can afford, so I'm looking at Apogee. As I understand it, if I get the Rosetta, I would still need to interface it to something that would provide the firewire connection to the computer, and I also would need some mechanism for D/A conversion. I know I could go with the Trak2, but I'm not sure I want to spend that cash. If there is an equivalent AD/DA + firewire solution that I could put together, I would invest my savings on some high-quality preamplification. Financial considerations aside, I would like to understand what I would be giving up by not going with the Trak2 (other than the preamp).
Thanks.
