Alesis HD24, Lost Data?

Somehow power went off before the HD24 could be dismounted. Complete disc wants to reformat now and will not mount??? Anyone know how to save all my songs on this drive or how to get it to mount without thinking it has to reformat??? I would dearly appreciate the help. My bad! No backup! Poolborg@att.net

I would try using the Alesis Fireport 1394 to retrieve the data. You bypass the HD24 itself this way and have a good chance of getting the data. They work very well and transfer extremely fast.

:) Thanks for the great responses regarding this troublesome issue. I really appreciate you taking the time to help me out. I just picked up a few more hard drives for my extra caddies and will definately be backing up from this point and no more power strips!!!
