Goliath runs flawlessly as a stand alone unit. It will even run in PT for a bit, but any tweaking causes an "H/W Buffer Error" sooner or later. Mostly sooner. I'm running the latest version of PLAY and also updated an instrument update for Goliath.

MY SETUP:
PT 8.0cs2
Mac Pro, Quad-Core, 6GB Ram
Digi 003 Factory

I should be able to run Goliath in ProTools with my system as it well surpasses the requirements. I've read threads that Goliath has been buggy.

If anyone has any info it would be greatly appreciated.

Native Instruments and Pro Tools seem to always have a problem "playing nice" together.

I would move Goliath out of your plug-in folder. If the problems go away, you will know for sure that it is incompatible.

I think its actually East West's Play engine that may have the bugs in it. from what I hear its buggy, and hopefully they will work out the kinks, if it was buggy from the start, I am sure they will need some time to get it to work great on a newer version of PT.

best of luck, I would post over on the sounds online forum and see if there is fixes or solutions

Submitted a support ticket to SoundsOnline. No response yet but I've read tons of people having this issue on their forum. Specifically citing the PLAY engine running as an RTAS plugin in Pro Tools being the issue. Not so much when Goliath is used as a stand alone.

I have 6GB RAM now. I will be upgrading to 13GB in a couple days. I'm not upgrading in an effort to fix this particular issue but either way shouldn't 6GB have been more than enough to run PT and Goliath as an RTAS plugin? It far surpasses the 2GB requirement that East West suggests. Similar RAM hogs like Synthogy's Ivory Pianos have posed no problem on my system.

Any news anyone??
