Will someone be so kind as to offer me a little guidance???
I'm just jumping in to computer based recording, and am considering the 17" iMac with the Digi 002/ProTools bundle.
Mission....to record, mix, and master my songs.I'll be using my keyboard for most of the instrumentation(track at a time).Vocals and an acoustic guitar, and that's it.Other than a mic and some biamped monitors,is that all I need???,or am I missing something?
As an alternative to the above mentioned hardware/software combo....what about Logic/Logic Control?....One more user-friendly than the other?

Would really appreciate some input!!! Thanks, Mason

The iMac shoud do just fine, but get a firewire drive for your audio.

The 002 is an excellent system for what you're describing. You could use Logic and the Logic control, but you'd also need a audio interface and midi interface. It's a bit cheaper to get everything all in one item as the digi002.

but Cory is definetly right, get an external firewire drive for recording, and a spindle of CD-R media for your combo drive. :)
