Hi just got my 2801 Mk III and I can't get my G4/400 to find the PCI-424 card. It is the same slot that I had my 324 card for years. MOTU thought it was a defective card and sent me another--same problem. Does anyone know of an extension or some other software issue that would prevent the MOTU software from finding the card? Thanks.

Sorry for the late responce Jay. If you've installed the 424 card and the system still isn't recognizing it, here's the issue. If you placed it in the same slot as the 324, your CPU is looking for the 324 card to be there. Since the 324 isn't there anymore, your CPU is probably telling there is nothing there, or what is there is undefinable.

You have the same machine I do. With the case open (and machine off), to the left of the PCI slots, looking at it from the front, you'll find a little button called the CUDA. Press it for 30 seconds with a pencil erraser. Restart your computer and see if the software sees the card.

Hope I was able to help.

Hi, I did all that and it still didn't work. I am working with MOTU to resolve the issue. We finally got a 424 card that works, but now there seems to be a problem with the rack unit. The beat goes on or at least soon will I hope.

Just a question. Have you tried disabling the Apple Audio Extensions?
