My son has a Kurzweil SP-76 stage piano, which he really likes due to its action. He's 12, and I'd like to get him something that will give him a wider range of sounds to play with. This is really for play and to keep up his interest in general.
Any advice as to the 'easiest' way to provide a wider array of sounds? I'm thinking ordinary stuff - some synth sounds, more strings, woodwind, brass, maybe some percussion.
I know nothing of midi, so I have no idea what it would take to do this.
