What are some good choices for editing wave forms, cutting, splicing and copying. I have some stuff I want to work on. I do my recording on stand alone units and need a simple setup for the computer and I don't want to but a complete pakage like Cubase, protools etc.

Are you on a Windows machine or a Macintosh?? If Windows, try Sound Forge or Wavelab...for Mac - Peak is a great option.

Wavelab is it. I've used or seen just about everything out there and ended up going with Wavelab. It's powerful, easy, and fast!

Sound Forge is my favorite for the PC. When I started, I didn't get along with Wavelab and it's been way too long for me to want to switch now.
