installing HD 2 Acell PCI ?

I have a creation station core 2 quad with an asus P5WDG2 WS PROFESSIONAL Mother board . Iwas going to get the hd 2 accel and install it myself . is it that hard to to do any help would be appreciated I'll also be using my command 8 from sweetwater I also just got 2 of the glyth 500 gig hard drives ther are 2 PCI slots, 2 pcix slots,and 2pcix slots I have a usb card in 1 of the pci slots where would I move the usb card to in order to in stalled the core card and the acell card or just buy a usb hub

To avoid hitting anything else on that board, install the HD cards to the far slots, the PCI slots closest to the edge of the case. The USB card can really go anywhere. As to the installation, you need to install both cards, hook up the flex cable, connect and powr on the interface prior to installing Pro Tools. After the card installation, turn the CS on, ignore the Found New Hardware wizards, and install Pro Tools.

thanks Matt what kind of cable Do i need to connect my octopre 8out it looks like a 25 pin also i have octopre i'am going to optical in on the 192 i/o and analog the other octopre with the i think it is a 25 pin or do i need a digilink cable for that

The analog I/O of the 192 is all on d-sub 25 connectors. We sell an assortment of cables that break those out into XLR or TRS plugs.

I have protools 8.0 le installed on my 2.4 core 2 quad creation station
after I uninstall the 8.0 le version. Do I need to do anything else with in the creation station, other than install 8.0 hd

No, that should be it. Install the cards, connect the interface, then install the software, in that order. On the first boot after installing the cards, ignore any "Found New HW" wizards that pop up.

I have the ocx word clock I bought from sweetwater last dec
as far as connecting it. come from the word out to any digital device correct such as a 192 ,focusrite octopre with adat card, also i have a tascam cdrw with word clock on it.
Hey Matt i appreciate your help sweetwater is the best .One other thing on my Le system 002R when I arm my tracks I'am getting a hiss it pretty bad some times
I unpluged everything accept the 002R and the fire into the creation station with no mic cables plug in into the 002r and I still get a hiss , I have the onboard sound card activated
I replaced the firewire cable it still has a hiss any ideals
