Ok, I know you can tune a piano, but you can't tun-a-fish! Sorry late night last night. Was tuning (EQing) a room. (well OK, tuning the speaker enclosures) Was late due to trying to figure out a software demo.
Anyway, I read in Live Sound International recommendations for tuning a room. When doing so, the author recommended placing your test microphone on the floor so that it would function more like a PZM having the direct and reflected sounds arrive at the same time. I understood his recomendation much more since I read the Master Handbook on Acoustics that a friend graciously gave me.
So, my question, if you want your test mic to opperate like a PZM, why not just use a PZM? Any installers out there that can tackle this one?
Thanks.
