What happened to UA Solo/110?!

I don't see this brick any more being sold by major retailers including Sweetwater... is it possible it got discontinued?!? :scared:

Yes, it was discontinued a few weeks ago. The Solo 610 (http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Solo610) is still around, though.

UA is introducing a new hybrid pre called the 710. my guess is it will take the place of both the 110 and 610 solo because it is essentially both of those pres in one. check the UA website....

I see. I guess I'll have to wait and see what reviews this new 710 gets. I'll need a pre with some flexibility, being able to go between more transparent vs heavily overdriven tube sound, and it's looking like the 710 does exactly that. Howvever, if its transistor stage just repeats the 110 I'd rather stay away. My local music gear salesman said he was not a big fan of the 110 (but highly recommended the 610). :robot:

I would like more information about the 710 as well but the reviews have been very few.
