The keyboard is great overall, but when I started playing with the styles I found it very painful to play with the patterns , I split the keys and the right side seems perfect, the left which is the bass pattern is way off the sound is supposed to make when hitting the key, when I hit 2 keys in that pattern it seems to fix the problem. I would like to play the right pattern sound just using one key for novice players like me.

In summary If I use one key the bass pattern sounds way off, hitting the right chord( 2 or 3 keys at the same time ) makes it sound right.

Is there any way to use only one key for the patterns? The keyboard is similar to the ypg 525 and the dgx 530 and might use the same sounds and software. Any help is appreciated, If my explanation seems difficult to understand let me know, thanks.

don't know much about this keyboard but.. sounds like it has auto-chord recognition.you should review the manual to see how it supposed to behave.

I reviewed the manual, it explains the keys I'm supposed to play but is very difficult for me, there is no option for one key that i know of, but in you tube i saw someone playing a ypg 225 keyboard which looks almost identical except is smaller and missing some features, the guy was playing songs using only one key instead of multiple keys for the bass pattern. I would like to get around that advanced chord option for now, if I can't I will feel obligated to return it or sell it.

Have you investigated the "performance assist" features ... ? Sound like something's going on there ...

Is there are factory reset option?

Investigated, no luck so far, would love to talk to someone who owns any ypg series.

Didn't your YPG come with a tutorial DVD or VHS tape? I know wife's DGX and her YPG both came with video tutorials. It may explain what you're searching for on it. I don't use that feature at all but I may try it out tomorrow and see what you're talking about.

Hi, it just came with a manual, i found the same manual online, no vhs or dvd, just a cd rom that doesn't really show anything, its actually the same manual for the ypg 535 and the dgx 530. Let me know how it goes with your keyboard. Thanks.
