Basically an idea for a home DJ setup

I was looking into getting a pair of mains and a pair of subs. Although after that I'm not sure what I need to get the job done. Basically, I want to be able to run an input based on RCA jacks and use it as my home system. I need to know what all things I need to look into buying. I am new to all the Pro/Home Audio so any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

okay so first of course you will need a mixer and either cd players or turntables.then if you have enough money you can go with speakers and an amp unless you want a powered speaker (built in amp). the subs aren't so necessary but it does make the sound more clear and gets in those really low frequencies but then again if you have the money you can buy it and you might want a compressor.
