Project:
Setting up a small inexpensive mobile audio recording system for collaborative songwriting.

Equip:
Dell Laptop Athlon64 X2, 2Gig RAM, 120MB HD, SIIG ExpressCard Firewire,

Software:
WinXP running Cubase4. Experienced Cubase user, Experienced WinXP user.

Purchased:
Yamaha GO46 (Firewire) from Sweetwater as my Mobile Audio Interface.

Question:
The Yamaha GO46 shows up in XP's "Device Manager" under "61883 Device Class", which is good, but I can not get it to show up under "Sound etc." as an "Audio Controller", hence Cubase4, nor even Windows Media Play can find it. It does not show up as an Audio Option under XPs Sound and Audio Device Properties dialog box. What am I missing?

Tried: WinXP default 1394 drives, SIIG ExpressCard/Unibrain's 1394a & 1394b UbCore driver suite for the SIIG card, and Yamaha's drivers, to know avail. No errors show, just no recognition of the Yamaha GO46 as an audio option.
