I have MOTU Digital Performer 3.1 on a dual 500 G4 PowerMac with a Korg 1212 I/O and two ADAT's...

How do I get DP to controll the ADATs through the program's transport controlls or vice versa. I'm trying to bounce my ADAT recordings into DP one tape at a time (I only have one lightpipe input).

Any info would be greatly apreciated.

Thanks,
Cliffy

DP won't be able to control the ADATs unless you have an MMC (MIDI machine control) compatible interface like the MOTU MIDI Time Piece AV, which has an ADAT sync output.

I'm not too familiar with the Korg 1212 DP drivers, but you can achieve sample-accurate sync on the MOTU PCI-324/424 card using interfaces like the 2408. This allows you to make your ADAT the sync master, basically allowing you to control the DP transport from the ADAT front panel. You can then slave DP to the ADAT via ADAT sync, and make sample accurate transfers of ADAT tape to DP via the lightpipe. I don't know if the 1212 ADAT sync input, unlike the PCI-324/424, is able to be a valid sample accurate sync source in DP though, as that would be your limiting factor.
