I am experiencing some unpleasant sounds on a vocal track that I can't seem to "fix". When the wave peaks at some of the louder parts on the track it gets fairly jagged. It's not clipping out, but it's close. It sounds really scratchy...could i have overloaded the internal mic pre? Any suggestions on how to compensate? I tried to normailize it...still there. I tired a clipped peak restoration plug-in just in case....still there. I put sone hard compression on it...and once again still there.
I'm trying to avoid having to redraw the wave form(if that's the problem)
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Tim
