Hey all,
Just got a MOTU 8Pre to go with my 828mkII Interface. I'm using the 8Pre as an Optical Converter (connected to the 828mkII as an analog to optical expander), which I was told by MOTU tech support will cancel all "outs" in the unit including the headphones. I'd love to connect the two by way of Firewire (which would probably eliminate the problem), but I'm running Windows XP "SP2" which is a problem for this particular configuration (or so I'm told).
My problem is I want to monitor the microphones I have connected to the 8Pre.
And what would seem to be an easy task, has turned into a nightmare so far.
I was told that I have to create "sends" within Sonar that would allow me to monitor the 8Pre.
I'm currently working on this, but have yet to find the correct routing scheme.
Does anyone out there have a similar setup (and/or solution) that could help me out here?
