I'm green. I'm moving over from a VS880, so I don't have sequencer habits or biases. I want to use a G4 to mostly record, edit & mix multitrack audio, but I want the availability of midi and virtual instruments as I get more comfortable with the technology. Is there truly a great difference between ProTools LE, Logic, DP3, Cubase SX, Nuendo in the learning curve for just recording some drums, guitar and vocals on a number of tracks, editing and mixing down to a stereo out? One hears of the legendary Logic learning curve, but does that really apply to the above? I like the way Logic looks [I know some people hate it] and the fact that Apple owns them, but I'm a little put off by the chorus that says it's so hard to learn. Advise, please.
