HELP! 1680 and PT HD2

I just went from 1680 to PT HD2 (what a trip!). I learned to engineer in the 80's on a 1" Scully.

Can some kind soul please just give me a numbered list of "Things To Do" that will enable me to hook my trusty old 1680 up to ProTools so that
1) the machines will run simultaneously, and so that
2) I can save thirty or so 1680 multi-track projects that represent the highlights of my last ten years of recording.
MIDI just ain't my thing (yet). Just too dang old, I suspect.

Do you have the Digidesign Sync box? Pro Tools will follow time code if you have it on the 1680.

No, I am using the Lynx Aurora 16.

You are referring to a conversion unit while the sync box allows Pro Tools to follow an external time code (if one exists on the 1680.)
