I have a come across a problem with this gear which I don't understand. When I program bass patterns, they play back perfectly as long as I'm in pattern mode. When I import that pattern, say U001, into a song, it plays back differently. For example:
A one measure bass pattern featuring a root/5th on the 1 and 3 beats plays fine in pattern mode but as soon as I import that pattern into a song it plays back root and 2 notes sharp of the 5th. (In the key of D maj the notes are D and A in pattern mode but play back D and B in Song mode.) This is very frustrating and I simply cannot proceed until I get it solved.
I don't think it's the gear because I tried it on another unit in the store and had the same result. Roland Tech Support is shut down for the holidays and nobody at my dealership has a solution. Do any of you know what I might be doing wrong? Please advise. Regards, Jay.
