My band has recently recorded a demo and we want to get a professional package together to send to the usual potential clients. So we are looking for someone who does professional, value for money CD Duplication. We plan to publish around 1000 CDs with the relevant details (Band Name, Song Titles and Contact Details) printed on the CD. I have already done a Google search and got a few quotes from there but there’s nothing like hearing other people’s experiences! So if any of you have any recommendations or have come across such a provider please do let me know of them. Thanks!

can't go with out mentioning Sweetwater has these services.
Personally I use diskfaktory http://www.diskfaktory.com
I've produced 5 major releases through them (full length CD's) and alot of bulk run projects, they have been a good company to my needs for seven years. Just an option, good luck with your project!
do you belong to a performing arts org? ASCAP, BMI?

Of course, you can always buy a machine and do your own duplication. :)

I hear there are some pretty good deals on CD replication (http://www.veassociates.com/) and CD duplication (http://www.veassociates.com/) at VE Associates.

Two worth checking out..
1. Discmakers - www.discmakers.com
Good deals, formidable service, recommended as they deliver a quality product at a descent price.. They are not the cheapest but if you compare the overal service factor with the included add ons such as internet delivery its a good deal. We recently did a short run production through them for a local independent album and it was done exactly to spec and look'd great!

2. Sweetwater http://discservices.sweetwater.com
This price isn't the lowest either I have seen but the fly by nights that are much cheaper don't deliver the service & quality that you get with going with a top tier service. The idea is to do it right the first time, RIGHT?

P.S. I moved this thread to the control room as it didn't quite fit into the "MIXER" category. Control Room is more for general stuff.. Hope it doesn't confuse anyone. ;-)
