anyone know how to calculate this? or know of an online resource with this info?

16 bits = 2 bytes
2 * 44,100 = 88.2kBytes per second per channel (double for stereo tracks).
Alter as necessary for your sample rate and track count. 24 bit files may be transferred as 32 bits. I'm not sure. The proper reference will depend on the platform/MDM you are using.

i have had some help from another forum. from the info i gathered, i created an excel worksheet to auto calculate for me. if you want you can check it out, test it for me.

TYou should list the sampling rate as kHz. You are doing the calculation that way. Also, if you wanted to simplefy it, because of the distributive nature of multiplication, you can kill the *1000 multiplier and change the /1000000 to /1000.
Also, you could make a separate column for the MB/s rate as you initially asked about. You've alread done more than that much math.
