Raid!!!!!!!!!!!

Who's using this method on their computer? And how did u set it up? I have a Abit KR7-A RAID Athlon XP 1700 CPU w/ XP OS and my Raid will not set up correctly. Can some 1 Please help me out. or ge\ive me some tips?

Don't use it. Set up your drives as independant drives. Unless you are going to do mirroring or use a parity drive. If you don't mirror or parity the drives, losing one drive destroys all of your data..

However you set it up, you usually do the set up in the BIOS of the RAID controller, independant of the OS. You need drivers for the OS of course. Are you following directions from ABIT? What part isn't working?

i heard its a good thing; understandingt the consequences - of losin the drives, loses the other.

but i think its my floppy drive not workin the driver.

Download a new version from the web and don't use your floppy.
