Has anyone had a good experience with a particular repair place or person?

I have a Neumann M269c that has developed a “motorboating” problem. I am in no way qualified to fix or even troubleshoot this. I guess the AC 701 tube isn’t even available anymore. (if that’s the problem, I’ve been told it may be the capsule) :(

I lucked into a classic mic and now that It’s not working properly I’m realizing that I’m way outta my league in trying to get it fixed. Any help you can offer I’m extremely appreciative of.

Fingers Crossed,
-drew

There are a number of fine folks out there who can do repairs on old Neumanns, but at the risk of violating the neutrality of my moderator's position, for something like that, I would get in touch with Klaus Heyne at German Masterworks.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!

I didn’t mean to ask for an advertisement but I really didn't know what to do. Anyway, Thanks! Actually, Mr. Heyne is the first person that helped me diagnose the problem. I'll go back to him.

Thanks again,
