ups/power conditioner

All of my equipment goes through an AVR then a UPS (series). (I do not exceed half of the rated load.

Problem is, my rackmount FX and synth switches off when the UPS power kicks in! will a power conditioner (series, after the UPS) fix this problem?

At the risk of dropping names, I use an APC 650BK for my console and rack equipment.

I've never had a problem with stuff reinitializing on a power fluctuation with this unit.

It has saved my butt several times.

It sounds like your UPS switches too slow. Adding a power conditioner to a UPS can cause additional problems if they try to compensate for each other. I recommend getting a new UPS.
