I am having trouble playing back tracks in Cubase SX through my firestation. The tracks will playback fine if I use the ASIO DirectX driver and it goes through my computer sound card, but I want to be able to send it to the firestation. When I switch to the mLan driver and start playback, the VST performance window shows overloads on the processor all over the place, and it gives little spirts of sound. Is there anyway I can fix this? I have a Dell PC with an 800 MHz PIII, with 256 MB of ram. Also, an additional problem: when a track is armed for recording, and no signal is present, about every 10 seconds the meters jump from nothing to peak and then fall down again. When I started recording the track, a loud pop is heard and seen in the waveform about 2 minutes into the track. I know it's not the audio because I was monitoring it from Cubase. I've heard somethings about wordclock and how complications in this might cause the pops. How do I stop it?
