hey,

im finally getting serious about mixing and pre-mastering. i dont want to master. ive decided to get some GIK acoustic panels and auralex panels for my ceiling.

the problem im having is the placement of my speakers, and the "38%" rule.

the reference speakers are said to be set up as an equilateral triangle, whats the closest i can get to the speakers without messing up the perceived sounds?

how close can the rear of reference speakers get to the wall?

i cant achieve a 38% rule, what do i do now?

[QUOTE=125]hey,

I will leave the other questions for anyone else who wishes to answer them,but in regard to this question,I will suggest that if you have an adjustable acoustical control,as well as eq settings and you have acoustic panels on the wall behind your monitors,then you can get as close as you need to-as long as you leave enough space for adequate ventilation.

Happy monitoring.:cool:
