Cant get a phat sound?

I uses PTLE for recording, I dont use much effects because it sounds OK to me when I finish a session. I then burn to a CD via itunes which after playing back in my car for example the song is hollow and not full, what am I missing?

what are you monitoring your mix on, you said when you finished the session it sounded okay, remember what you put in is what you get are you compressing on the way in to your sound card, bottom line what type of fat gear do you have to help you get that fat sound?

What kind of gear do you have? Monitors? Out board gear? Etc...

You seem to have a unique situation. Most people complain about muddiness. You seem to need some. :)
