I have installed CuBase LE on my Dell 8200 Desktop (1.024 MB RAM, 60 GB Hard Drive) and when going through the installation process with Focusrite Saffire Audio Interface, I am instructed to disconnect the Firewire connection between the Saffire and the CPU, I go through the wizard and it tells me to connect the Saffire (which I do) the CPU recognizes "Found new Hardware" and I wait for the drivers to install, but rather than allowing me to go to the next step, I get a message that says "installation failed, installation of IEEE 1394 driver could not be completed. Exit installation and try again. Any suggestions, recommendations, solutions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

You probably need to install the Firewire drivers for your device while the interface is unplugged and before installing Cubase. I know that's the case with Motu/Cubase.

Yes, leave it unplugged altogether until the installer tells you to connect it. Also, do this before you try again: http://www.sweetwater.com/sweetcare/ts/detail.php?Index=30559&keyword=firewire%20communication
