Alesis IO2

Is there any one out there with an Alesis IO2 that actually works in Windows XP Pro SP2 with Cubase/Nuendo, using the Alesis Asio driver? I just received an Alesis IO2 and can not get it to work reliably. I have to reset it frequently in the Device Setup of Cubase/Nuendo regardless of buffer settings in the Alesis Control Panel. Also, it shows up as a USB Audio Device in Device manager, but is not listed as an option in the audio setup page of Control Panel. It works reliably with ASIO4ALL on a Core2Duo notebook, but not on a P4 3.2GHz desktop. Both machines have Windows XP Pro SP2 installed.

I got it to work in Nuendo. You have to install the driver before you plug in the device. I can't however get Windows to use the included driver, I also get the USB Audio Device bit and no matter what I do, I can't get the latency below 15ms without major noise distortion and hickups when using VST's.

Have you sorted out your problems? Any luck on good buffer settings?

I could not get the unit to work reliably, regardless of buffer settings. Alesis technical support was not very helpfull. I have given up on solving this issue and would advise that users not buy this unit.
