I've been trying to install Logic's AMT 8 for a few days now.I work
on a PC with Windows millenium installed. My first soundcard is
Logic's EMI 2/6, my second soundcard is Soundblaster Platinum
Live 5.1, which i deactivated in preferences. The driver is still installed though, to play back midi.I use EMI 2/6 for the audio part.
Trying to setup the AMT8 driver through the steps outlined in it's
manual doesn't work though. After taking all the steps to install the
AMT8 driver and clicking "finish" to end the setup, believe it or not,
the SB Live 5.1 intro pops up leaving the AMT8 driver UNinstalled.
My questions:
Why does a secondary soundcard interferes
with the driver setup of a multichannel midi port?
How can i install AMT 8 without this SB pop up?
