View Full Version : Triton to computer
Hey everyone,
Hope all's going well in the music technology world. I would like to patch my Triton to my 'puter. Is there any recommended sofware or hardware to make this a reality? I have the basic Triton Pro and are willing to purchase chords or hardware to get things moving. My goal is better sound quality in my final productions. If some other applications unfold then BONUS! Please let me know. Thx!

Well, you need two things, you need an audio interface and a MIDI interface. Obviously depending on what you want to patch to the computer. Personally I prefer both. It's a deeper question than you originally pose it as though. What do you want to do on the computer?
I really want to be able to convert my music to my 'puter and not lose the quality of sound. As well, I would like to be able to run all the the tracks from my triton into my 'puter. This way I can manipulate each track individually. I would like the software to be sophisticated enough to download files and piece them with what I've built on my Triton. When all's said and done, have a complete, studio quality song. Hopefully this gives you an idea of what I'm looking for and want to do. Thanks for communicating with me.

Then my original suggestion is correct. You need a MIDI interface and a high quality audio card. The worse the card (interface) the more your audio will suffer. If you have product specific questions please feel free to call me and I'll be happy to go over the options that fit your budget.
