I am a beginner in the music recording/producing indusrty

I use:
Korg Triton Pro
Compaq PC
850 Mhz Processor
40 Gig Hard drive
128K RAM
Game Theatre XP Sound Card
Sound Forge Recorder/software

I'm very disatisfied with my sound quality after recording. I'm using a Triton Pro to build my music and when transfereing the sound to my PC, the quality diminishes drastically. I get a very airy play back and the sound although recorded in stereo, sounds as if the music's coming out of a box, rather than "true stereo". I connect to my 'puter w/ quarter inch from my keyboard converted to RCA type jacks to the copmuter. My soundcard has digital, optical and midi connections, however I have been unable to locate information on how to utilize those pathways. I want to enhance my final productions sound quality. The keybaord itself sounds great. However, after tweeking and adjusting my 'puter until my face is blue, I'm still disatisfied. Please help. Any comments or suggestions will be appreciated.

Well first you need a better audio card. Convertors reign king in Digital Audio. Also I think you may have typed your RAM setting incorrectly. Do you mean 128MB? What type of speakers are you monitoring through? There are several other things that could be affecting it, but you need a better audio card, something that puts the convertors outside the computer too. Let me know off-line if you need help selecting something that fits your budget or is worth saving for.
