Sorry for the caps, but Im so frustrated.

I bought CUBASE SX... I have a layla24 audio card. Im running everything on WINDOWS XP. In Cubase, when Im playing back audio, or recording, Im hearing alot of pops and clicks. I have a pentium 4, 2.4 mhz, with 512 megs of ram. This problem happens even when Im playing back 1 stereo audio track... ANd I looked at my performance.... Its at 8 percent, so its no where near straining my CPU. Whats going on? Please help

check with your bit rate to soundcard etc and your sampling rate.dont know if this is it but has happened with me ,so its a try.

What else are you using in addition to the Layla...do you have anything connected to it digitally? It sounds like it could be a clock issue.

It could also be a DMA problem...have you tried going to "Settings", then "Control Panel", then "System", then "Device Manager", then double clicking on "Disk Drives", then double clicking on the drive you're using, then clicking the "Settings" tab and enabling DMA? That oftentimes fixes clicking problems.

If that doesn't help, try going to

These suggestions should apply to SX as well as VST. If none of those suggestions help, give my tech support guys a call or let me know and I'll have them call you.

Let us know what works!
