Hi,I'm trying to find an effects pedal that would give me a snare sound or even a slap sound after each note I play on the bass.I do a lot of jammin with just an acoustic guitar player and want the extra fill.I also jam with other folks and we don't always have a drummer .If anyone can help me with this I would greatly appriciate it. thanks.

The whole genesis of the "pop and slap" technique was exactly the scenario you mention. Lewis Johnson of Brothers Johnson is generally credited with originating the technique, and has said he was often playing without a drummer, so he wound up playing the bass, as well as all the percussive stuff.

The only solution that i can think of is midi/synth bass. I have found that generally unless you spend a LOT of money on a dedicated (integrated) synth bass, you will have trouble. I've never had much luck with the "add on" midi pickups. They tend to not track all that well, and can "get away from you", producing all kinds of random notes and noises.
