URGENT: Help needed regarding soundcard

Hello fellow musicians!

I'm currently lookin' for a great soundcard. I don't have much money, so I was thinkin' in something from the range of the M-Audio Delta 1010LT... actually I need cheaper alternatives for that one. I only need 1 MIDI in/out, and 4x4x in/outs!

Any ideas?

I would suggest calling Sweetwater at 1-800-222-4700 and asking for a sales guy. They'll ask you all sorts of good questions to help you out and they'll do it quickly, much more quickly than a forum would.

Thanks for the tip EC, but I live overseas so a call of this nature is pratically impossible... I rather wait and see what fellow forum heads have to say ;)

Have you considered an interface? Nowadays there's lot of stuff on the market in all price ranges. The benefit is that, if you change your PC, no need to buy a new card and this may serve you for years, as long as Firewire protocols exist. Check out the Sweetwater page under "Computer recording -> Firewire interfaces"
