Thanks for your entering:
I'd like to have a home studio recently, but I don't have a clear mind that how many equips should I own.I play guitar and I'm about to buy a keyboard.
If I want to have some demo with middle qulity, what should I have and how to connet them?
I thougt it would be like this:I connet my guitar with my GT-8 and send the signal into a mixer while my keyboard into the mixer too?and then connect to my A/D D/A ,and last to my PC?
At last I have another question: If I have a interface do I need a mixer?Or I can use the software to control the mixing?
Thanks!

I'll give you some bullet points of stuff you can tell us that will help us to help you much better:

1) let us know what equipment (specifically) that you currently have
2) what sort of things you would like to accomplish in your studio (record yourself, other people, midi work, etc)
3) what sort of budget do you have to work with?

Well
1)I just own an EPI lp with a GT-8, and recently I'll have a low end keyboard, maybe YAMAHA DGX series.A PC and a notbook(Windows XP). So u know that's why I'm here to ask for advice
2)Record myself and do a little MIDI work ,so I don't need very good keyboard ,I will use the Sample Tank
3)I plan to spend $2500
BTW, I and my elder sister will be the singer most of the time, We play slow rock and I play Neo classic and hard rock when I was alone
