Split harddisk.

I got a pc with 2Ogb harddisk divided into two 10 gb sections.
I filled my first hd section to the brim, but i cannot seem
to access it's second 10gb section.
Why is my hd split into 2 sections?
How do i access the empty second part of my hd?

Who split your hard drive into two partitions? That's the only person that would know why it was split. It may have been split due to BIOS limitations. These are very specific PC questions that you should probably ask whomever you got your PC from. If both partitions were formatted, they should both show up as available drive letters.
