I just upgrade an Athlon Thunderbird 900, 256mhz mem. system to An

What can b the best operating solution, tweaks and/or anything else 4 our studio 2 b more productive fluently - computertwise?

Have you gone over our optimization guide in the knowledge base section of our site? That is the best place to start and then if you continue to have problems we have removed many of the variables.

yeah i read it and it help for my laptop. but my desktop..... it isnt up yet. i think i need memory cause it comes on but i cant c anything. its not reading my v/c. so i dont know whats goin on yet.

Are you saying that you have not RAM in the machine right now? Have you updated your BIOS and all drivers for your motherboard in relation to the VGA drivers?

i now have 256mb of mem. when i turn it on it just beeps!
i dont know what is wrong

i got it now. it was the memory n the wrong slot. its up-n-running.

So your system is running. Are you still having audio issues? I'm assuming the pauses were on the desktop and I suggest we try to get one working at a time.

Jeff mentioned drivers. Are you using VIA's lates 4 in 1 drivers for your mother board?

Another thing to check - when you first boot your desktop, before you run anything, press Ctrl+Alt+Del and list what you have running.

...and now my floppy is not readin. but there is nothing on/in the desktop, just the xplorer.
