Disappearing Driver

The driver for my Axiom 49 controller keeps disappearing. I can find it in my Control Panel but when I go into Sounds Audio Devices and select my controller the properties description states no driver has been detected for this audio device. And of course I can't connect it in Cubase either.

I've been to the website, I've downloaded the latest driver which is the same driver as the one given to me by Cubase. I've downloaded the software multiple times I really can't figure this out. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong in Cubase or if my computer is wacked.

Please Advise.

Delete the driver(s) you installed. I mean delete like you intend to never use it ever again,, when you reboot and plug the box in it will say "new hardware found" and reload the driver. This seems to work for me at times (i'm a pro tools person)

the drivers on my x station are port specific and if i change usb ports i have to reinstall the drivers hope this helps:)
