G4 Crashes (because of protools?)

Hi all. I'm new to the world of digital recording with pro tools, and I have a few questions. I have Digi 001 with Pro Tools LE running on a G4 450. Every once in awhile, the mac starts up and locks up right away, saying "error type 41." The only apparent way to fix this problem is to wait a few hours (!) and start the computer up again. Is there some way I can fix this, or should I contact Apple's customer support?

A Type 41 error seems to be a Finder Error. Look at this Apple Tech Article

You may need to reinstall the finder which generally is pretty easy but try every other option you can before doing so and any reinstall means you'll have to reconfigure some settings.
