I have a Korg 880 A/D, but only a few days ago I realized that this converter only genrates clock at 48K!!!!! Wierd! Now Iīm thinking about getting an external wordclock generator to use with this Korg thing... do you guys think itīll work!? How can a clock work at 48K and not work at 44.1K? Thanks for any help.

Clocks can be tuned to operate either at a single frequency, or to be switched between multiple frequencies. A lot of older gear was set to what was then the professional standard of 48KHz, since digital mixers and workstations were not yet popular, and the signal generally went through an analog stage before going to CD at 44.1KHz.
Unfortunately, a lot of gear set to a single clock frequency does not slave well to an external clock at a different frequency so I'm not sure you'll be successful trying to get the 880AD to run at 44.1. The good news is that converters have come a long way in the last few years, and for not much more than the cost of the Lucid box you may be able to get into a far superior converter that will operate at 44.1KHz.

Thank you very much David. In the manual it says the converter can clock from external units (via wordclok or ADAT in) but it mentions the sampling rates like this:
-- 42K LED red
-- 49K LED blinks
-- 50K LED off
It has the small "line" before the SR, Iīm just not sure if this line means up to that SR or exactly that SR.
What do you think?!
