Motu 828mkII & Mackie Big Knob

Hi I'm trying to configure the 828mkII with my Mackie Big Knob. Every connection coming from the 828mkII to the Big Knob is working seamlessly except for the "DAW MIX" connection. On the Mackie BK DAW MIX inputs, the following directions are given: "These stereo 1/4 inch balanced/unbalanced inputs are fed by the Master mix output of the DAW, usually the DAW outputs 1-2. If a mono signal is plugged into the LEFT input only, it is automatically routed to both LEFT and RIGHT inputs". My question is this: Should I use the "Main Outputs" of the 828mkII as my Master Mix input of my DAW? The reason I ask is because I have my DAW configured as stated above, and when I turn up the sliders 1-2 of the Cuemix Console, I get a lot of feedback. Any suggestions?

I do not use the 828 - but I do, the Big Knob. If you have the 828 configured for both playback and record, you have set up a loop. Whatever you must do in the 828 to get rid of that loop, do...The problem is probably not with the Big Knob. There is a warning in the Knob's instruction manual concerning this situation...

You were absolutely right!
The problem was in the "Cuemix Console" software that comes with the 828mkII.
I had to reconfigure one of the "MIX Tabs" in Cuemix which was creating the loop.

I've gotten help from Byll that suggested my problem had to do with a loop issue. Thanks Again Byll!
Unfortunately being that Byll does not own an 828mkII interface he had no response to the "Cuemix" software.
This is where my issue lies.
I have my Main outputs of my 828mkII going into the DAW inputs of the Mackie Big Knob. Whenever I assign "Main Outputs" to a "Mix" in the Cuemix Console, I get terrible feedback. But if I turn the faders of that "Mix" all the way down everything seems to play fine.
Now if I don't assign "Main Outputs" to a "Mix" in Cuemix, all audio plays fine (even with all faders turned up), but my midi instruments (MO8 Synth, Kurzweil PC2R, Radium Controller Keyboard) don't come through my monitors at all.
I would love to chat with someone who might have both products (or a close facsimile) so that we might be able to troubleshoot this problem together.
And Byll, If you have any possible comments that could lead to why these faders must be kept off, please continue.
