Problems with cubase and G4 please help

i am trying to install a demo of Cubase VST 32 on my G4
when i open the program up i get a message that says that it cant open the sound input.......then i have to click ok until it says "Audio: can't create Native Audio sound engine"
than i click ok again and it freezes up and i have to reboot.
i have the M-Audio Delta DIO 2496 card installed.
what is going on?????

Matt, it's about time someone else out therehas been having the same isue as myself.
People thought I lost my mind when I told them that I had the same problems as you. I do know that if you haven't already, you're going to have to invest in a Motu 828/with the firewire connection. Thus far it's the only way this program is going to run for you. By the way did you get it running yet? And if so, can you run it in Mac OS X /with the Classic 9 platform or just restart it to the Mac OS 9? Geno Youi can hit me up At
