My studio has a pair of Event 20/20's connected to an old Peavey amp that I think I bought in 1994. Which of the following is the best advice?
1) Dude, throw away that ancient amp. It is horribly coloring your sound. Buy a new one or, better yet, a set of powered monitors.
2) Eh, the amp isn't great, and you should replace it eventually. But as long as it's not malfunctioning, it'll suffice.
3) Keep the amp until you see flames shooting out of it, and possibly even then if you can get some good marshmallow action going.
Thanks!
Mike
