XP Media Center/need USB interface

There's a whole list of USB/MIDI interfaces that DON"T work;
what does?
I have a SONY VAIO, with ACID Music Studio;
Lightsnake audio/usb cord that IS working!
What is the suggested compatible USB interface?

Honestly, nothing that I know of. You can try this fix, but keep in mind that it may not work (I have had several people try it with a success rate of about 50%): http://www.sweetwater.com/sweetcare/ts/detail.php?Index=30821&keyword=media%20center

One issue to clarify: MCE is not totally incompatible. Things may very well work just fine on it. The thing to remember is that it is unsupported. This means that drivers/software are NOT tested on it, so there is no guarantee of functionality. And if something does not work, for whatever reason and with whatever symptoms, there is nothing that can be done to "fix" it. Symptoms I've seen include everything from blue screens of death immediately when launching a program, to error messages on pressing Play, choppy audio, output but no input, etc. These issue disappear when on a qualifies Home or Pro system.
