I have been using Nuendo a while now and I want to get my hands on some real faders. I have seen a little bit about the Houston and wonder if it will do everything I would like. I am also seriously considering a Soundcraft board (Either Ghost or 328XD).
The pros for the Houston
-Price (way cheaper)
-Made for Nuendo
Pros for mixers
-Better Preamps
-Can use with my ADATS
-Can use standalone
-MMC should control Nuendo???
-Can use with other audio programs (Logic, Sonar)
I currently use a MOTU 2408MKII as my sound card.
Does anyone have an opinion about this argument? Spending up to 7,000 on a mixer when I could just use a 1200 Houston is a big decision.
I basically want to be able to control volume, panning, and FX parameters. Monitor sends, and outboard FX controlling would be nice too while tracking.
Thanks,
