Need some new hardware...please help me choose!

My roommate moved out, so hes taking his receiver back as well as his speakers (damn him!!).

We were using a AIWA stereo as the receiver and some decent Yamaha speakers that was hooked up to my Mackie 1202 VLZ Pro Mixer.

So now im looking for a new system with good speakers.

Can you point the way? I cant spend much, around 150-200 is all i can spend, because im moving soon, so i have to save up for that.

you know, for $150, altec has some great 'pc' speakers- you know, the ones that have two small sattelites and a sub.

i have a pair (1048's i think) that i use for alt-mixes, and they sound really good! they are also fairly accurate- way more than even expensive headphones would be- as long as you keep the sub at a realistic level.

speaking of 'ralistic', the radio shack 'pro 88' line is really nice too, tho the cost of a pair and a small amp would run over $200....
