I realize that this is an older unit, but I recently have been trying to make it work with my PC.
I am very happy with the ESI-32, it is rock solid. However, there are some frustrating conflicts with my PC. I will describe the set-up and then the problem. I would appreciate and tips you could give me or suggestions on where to find more information.

Set-up (in cabled-up order)
Adaptec 2940S6 Host Adaptor (SCSI ID#7)
iomega 1G Jaz (SCSI ID#4)
Toshiba CD-Rom (SCSI ID#2)
Internal Floppy (SCSI ID#0)
ESI-32 (SCSI ID#5)

OS: Win ME
running Sound Forge
ASPI is installed

Issues:
1. On boot up, windows tries to find the device driver for the ESI. I have to cancel out of this screen ~5 times before it goes away. I have tried to let it find the driver, but there is none.
2. If computer is on, ESI cannot save/read from external sources. Error Message "SCSI Device Off Line" or "SCSI Bus In Use"
3. When I transfer files from Sound Forge to the ESI, it auto-assigns the sample from C-1 to C7.

Note:
I had used a USB-to-MIDI port to do the transfers with no issues other than speed and mono only.
The transfers worked properly with SCSI, before I installed the ASPI. So I guess the question is, how can I make the system work with ASPI (I would like to use the jaz and CD-ROM via the PC as well). Is there a device driver for the ESI that would clear this problem up?

Thank you in advance for any help you can give,
Peter
