I have a vintage Reslo CR2L directional ribbon mic built in England. I have received this mic as a gift. It is working, although I have done no real tests. Anybody who knows anything about this vintage microphone?

The only ribbon mic I have heard about before is the Royer mic, which is supposed to be very fragile. Of course I will use it in my studio, but it would be nice to get some information from someone with some experience or knowledge of this mic.

so far I've never owned a ribbon mic, but im dying to try one.

I've heard that the beatles used Reslo Ribbon mics extensively to record their albums.

so, you kinda got some history there.

typically, ribbons are known to be fragile, low DB output and usually lacking in the High end so they have a more resonant sound in the mid range ( i presume ).

Want to sell that ribbon mic???

let me know if you do.
