Hi, all,
I've been working with a MOTU 828 and a G4 Powerbook running Digital Performer for a few months now. Everything has been functioning swimmingly until recently, when I finally got around to using the DVD funtion on my DVD/CDRW drive. DVD works fine when I'm not running my sound through the 828, but if I do, the 828 starts glitching around, my monitors pop like crazy, the 828 flashes between 44.1 and 48 before finally shutting down, and crashing the program. At first, this only happened with my DVD program. But recently, it's been happening in any program (DP, finale, itunes), and even if I don't have a program running, just the laptop on while I play my keyboard through the monitors.
I don't have any digital inputs into the 828, it's always been set to Internal clocking. Does anyone have any idea what's going on? It's gotten to the point where I can only work for about 10 minutes before it goes crazy. Any ideas?
